S.A. "WATER-CANAL STRĂȘENI" is the main provider of water supply and sewerage services in Straseni district. Established on August 31, 2024, following the reorganization of "Apă-Canal" Strășeni, the company continues to evolve to provide affordable, sustainable and high quality services to all residents.

Our mission is to provide quality services, protecting water resources and adopting modern technologies that reduce environmental impact. We are committed to building a greener and healthier future for the local community.

Objectives

The priority strategic objectives of "APĂ-CANAL STRĂȘENIENI" are the following:

  • Continuous maintenance and close supervision of the drinking water supply system and the wastewater collection system, with rapid intervention teams on standby;
  • Supply of drinking water at the drinking water parameters required by the standards in force.
  • Collection of all wastewater through the sewerage network, in compliance with the standards in force.
  • Continuously monitor operating costs and reduce them using applied innovation.
  • Achieve an optimal profit margin to allow for further development of activities, electricity payments and staff incentives.
  • Expanding the services provided by promoting the regionalization of services by becoming a Regional Operator.

Water history of the municipality of Straseni

In the Republic of Moldova, the water supply and sewerage sector has been decentralized, the responsibility for the provision of water supply and sewerage services being placed in the hands of Local Public Authorities and water-sewerage operators, this sector faces numerous challenges, such as: precarious state of fixed assets, insufficient funds for maintenance and operation, low capacity for project management and implementation, etc. Despite the economic challenges and limited resources, S.A. "APĂ-CANAL STRĂȘENIENI" has managed to meet the growing demands of the population and to meet international quality standards.
